Michael O'Brien

Michael O'Brien

Born in Ottawa, Canada, O'Brien, over time, taught himself how to paint. When he had his artwork displayed in a major Ottawa gallery, he met with much success. Virtually sold out, his first exhibit led to 40 more all over North America, spanning a 30-year period. Then, deciding to paint only religious images, O'Brien produced artwork for churches and universities, among a variety of recipients. Also a self-taught writer, O'Brien penned essays, books, and novels, including A Landscape With Dragons: The Battle for Your Child's Mind and a book for children called The Small Angel. Not only a painter and an author, O'Brien, the husband and dad, helped his wife raise their six children from their home in Ontario.
