Author of books teaching children how to draw, Kistler wrote and illustrated Mark Kistler's Draw Squad. He focuses on 3D instruction of basic shapes and techniques and has hosted several Public Broadcasting Service shows for children and young adults. Traveling around the United States and the world, Kistler designs workshops for elementary school children. Kistler resides in Texas with his family where he finds ways to teach children to draw.
