Margaret Leech

Margaret Leech was born in Newburgh, New York, and graduated from Vassar College in 1915. In the middle twenties she wrote two novels, The Back of the Book and Tin Wedding. Later, in collaboration with Heywood Broun, she wrote Anthony Comstock: Roundsman of the Lord, and then another novel entitled The Feathered Nest. Reveille in Washington was published in 1941 and won the Pulitzer Prize for history.

Miss Leech was married to Ralph Pulitzer, who died in 1939. She has a married daughter, and a small granddaughter.
