The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

He was a young Venetian with a thirst for travel. And his travels led him all over the known world of seven hundred years ago. His name was Marco Polo and he came to be known as the foremost world traveler in history.

For twenty-four years Marco Polo traveled through the Near East, Persia and Afghanistan, Tibet and Mongolia. His wanderings took him throughout China, to India, and finally back to his native Venice.

After his return, Marco Polo dictated the tales of his wandering to a professional writer, named Rustichello. The result was four books of his adventures, known in the English translation as The Travels of Marco Polo.
