The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

"When before has one person written three books so uniformly interesting and thrilling as Papa's Wife, Papa's Daughter, and now Mama's Way?"
Daniel A. Poling

Thyra Ferre Bjorn's new book, Mama's Way, gives a simple prescription for faith and happiness. It tells how Papa's daughter learned the power of positive prayer from her mother and passed her gift of faith along to her own family, to her friends and sometimes to strangers in need of help.

Dr. Poling's comment on this moving story of a woman devoted to the service of God continues:

"These pages are crowded with Mama's philosophy, and they fill out the story of Mama's daughter who has built her own life with her great love for people. There is charm, winsomeness, humor, and a down-to-the-grassroots workable religion. There is compassion, naiveté and homespun wisdom all packaged together. If you like the other two books, you will love this. Sit back in your chair and read it relaxed, or open it on the kitchen table and give it a glance as you pass by between cupboard and sink and stove. Go to bed with it. Chuckle over it alone or have happy times reading it to the family. A sure winner it is."

Thyra Ferré Bjorn was born in a small village in Swedish Lapland and came to this country in 1924 when her father was invited to be the pastor of a Swedish church in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is married to Robert J. Bjorn, also a native of Sweden, and has two daughters and four grandchildren.
