Life of Muhammad is part of Introduction to the study of the Holy Qur'an by Hadrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmüd Ahmad. The Introduction was rendered into English by Qadi Muhammad Aslam. Life of Muhammad has also been separately published several times. The present edition has an index which the original English edition did not have. This is an excellent and affectionate life sketch of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a better biography has yet to be written.
After giving a brief but comprehensive account of the life of the Holy Prophet, the author sheds light on the personality and excellences of the character of the Holy Prophet – an orphan beckoned to the Call, persecuted by neighbour, driven from his home with a prize tag on his head, quickly establishing a strong community of believers ready to die for his teachings and finally returning triumphant only to forgive his tormentors. This book certainly opens up his life in a delightful and adorable manner.
