Around since the mid-1950s, Kumon is a company well-known for its tutoring services and beautifully-crafted workbooks. We have carried (and have been delighted with) many of their preschool workbooks for some time, and now also offer their math workbooks, available through 6th grade.
While focusing primarily on rote memory, Kumon Workbooks teach children one specific skill from start to finish. The Kumon Method introduces concepts step-by-step, helping children to master each skill in turn as they gain confidence in their abilities and gather motivation to continue learning. Self-directed, Kumon workbooks are designed to nurture good study habits for students who need remedial or enrichment work.
