Katherine Matchette

A graduate of Seattle Pacific University with majors in missions and education, Matchette went on to become a teacher in both public and Christian schools.  An author as well, Matchette has seen published articles for God's World Publication and other Christian magazines.  After she penned the book Libby's Choice and found she lacked a publisher, she and her husband decided to branch out on their own.  A printer by trade, Matchette's husband had a hobby shop at home and Katharine helped with the typesetting.  Reaching out to Christian schools and homeschoolers, the Matchettes founded DeKa Press and produced Oh Suzannah and Discovering Oregon.

Matchette currently lives in Christmas Valley, Oregon, and when she isn't writing, she edits Sunday school curriculum for Evangelical Friends International and works in her garden.
