Having earned his Masters of Divinity and his Doctorate in Mininstry from Westminster Theological Seminary, Petty went on to become the Director of Conciliations Services and Director of Development at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation in Pennsylvania. A counselor and an author, Petty writes popular self-help Christian books.
