FOREWORD
HOW WE HEAR is an introduction for children to one aspect of that fascinating subject, the human body. It may be that the lack of good material on this subject originates with its difficulty. If so, HOW WE HEAR is to be doubly commended for the straightforward, understandable manner in which it explains the wonder of hearing, and the care the author has taken to ensure accuracy in spite of necessary simplifications.
