This manual gives brief overviews of the lives of 50 well-known philosophers and authors, from the Greek and Roman pagans through the medieval world and on to the modern. There are many here who are antagonistic to Christianity, and a number of men who were devout. This volume places each in his historical context, summarizes his teaching, shows the implications his ideas have had in history, and biblically analyzes them, offering things that society should do, either to avoid their teachings, or implement them.
Each overview includes a reading assignment, a comprehension test, a true or false section and multiple choice questions. There is an answer key for these in the back of the book. There is also a section of discussion questions for each man (the answer key is included in the Teacher Edition).
