The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

The autobiography of Michael Pupin (1854?-1935), who immigrated to America from Serbia at the age of fifteen and became an electrical engineer and physicist.  His various accomplishments include finding a means of extending the range of long-distance telephone communication, inventing a camera for short-exposure x-ray photos, and winning the Pulitzer Prize (1924) for this autobiography.
