Elizabeth Cody Kimmel

Born in New York City and raised in both Westchester County and Brussels, Belgium, Kimmel later attended Kenyon College in Ohio. A prolific writer, Kimmel first saw book publication in 1998. She pens nonfiction, picture books, novels, and series books. As Far as the Eye Can Reach is about the explorers Lewis and Clark, while one of her series books is Young Buffalo Bill Cody. Her work reflects her variety of interests from Antarctica to medieval history and penguins. Still writing, Kimmel resides in New York's Hudson Valley with her family.
