E. M. Forster

E. M. Forster (1879-1970) was born in London. After graduating from Cambridge in 1901, he lived abroad and traveled in Greece, Italy, Egypt, and India, which he visited for the first time in 1912. After serving as a Red Cross volunteer in Egypt during World War I, Forster returned to England, where he devoted his time to writing and lecturing.
