All you ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by. And someone who knows how to steer ships using stars. You finally got some of those rivers you'd wanted, and they led to the sea. These are dangerous, pirate-infested waters, and you cautiously send rat-infested ships across them, to establish lucrative trade at far-off merchant-infested ports. First, you will take over some islands, as a foothold. The natives seem friendly enough, crying their peace cries, and giving you spears and poison darts before you are even close enough to accept them properly. When you finally reach those ports you will conquer them, and from there you will look for more rivers. One day, all the rivers will be yours.

Dominion: Seaside is an expansion to both Dominion and Dominion: Intrigue. As such, it does not contain material for a complete game. Specifically, although it adds 26 new Kingdom cards, it does not include the basic Treasure, Victory, Curse, or Trash cards. Thus, you will need either the base game or Intrigue to play with this expansion, and you will need to have experience playing Dominion with either of the first two games. The central theme of this expansion is your next turn; there are cards that do something this turn and next, cards that set up your next turn, and other ways to step outside of the bounds of a normal turn.

  One of My Favorite Expansions
Daniel of Oregon, 12/28/2011
Seaside is definitely one of my favorite Dominion expansions (Prosperity is my other favorite). This set has a lot of fun cards. I like the extra boards for each player that go with certain cards like the island and the native village. The pirate ship is also fun -- it allows you to build up buying power for yourself while trashing treasure from your opponents' hands!

The duration cards, which apply to your current turn plus the next one, are probably the most unique to this set.
The treasure map card is another favorite; if you get two in your hand and trash both, you gain four gold cards on top of your deck. This can give you a decided advantage early in the game!
  Combative Set of Cards
Dominion Fan of Oregon, 12/16/2011
This set of Dominion cards (this is an expansion, not a complete game) seems the most combative of all so far. Between the Pirate Ship (which is awesome) Sea Witch, and Smugglers, it seems everyone is always being attacked when you play this game. Which is good. If you like that sort of thing (which I do).
The new feature cards offer in this set is duration. Some cards last for two turns. They help you on the turn you play them AND on the next turn, which can be very helpful and make some very long and productive (complicated) turns.
I love this set, but my wife doesn't like it (for some reason I always win when we use this set).
