Doctor Adrian

Doctor Adrian is a scholar living in quiet seclusion in Antwerp, the Netherlands, until a fugitive Protestant preacher and his daughter Rose seek sanctuary in his rooms. Before he knows it, he becomes involved with the Protestant cause, and eventually embraces it in theory. But then the persecution of the Reformed is stepped up. Doctor Adrian's faith in the Reformed religion dies when he experiences the loss of some of his loved ones. But a new faith in the Author of the religion takes its place.
