Dinah Dryhurst was born in Sydney, Australia, and went to the National Art School there. She moved to England, where she has illustrated several children's books, including The Railway Children, Little Women (Part 1), and Black Beauty. We found references to other titles (Librarything lists four, three of which you can read on Internet Archive: Aunts up the Cross by Robin Eakin, Between High Walls and My Part of the River by Grace Oakes, and Tommy Mac by Margaret Stuart Barry), but they're not much like the beauties below.
While we can't find much information about Dinah herself, we can tell you her watercolors are exquisite and her pencil sketches charming.
