The ancient Celts admitted no separation between this world and the Otherworld: the two were delicately interwoven, each dependant on the other. Stephen Lawhead's acclaimed Song of Albion Trilogy, which has been favorably compared to the fantasies of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, crosses the thin places between this world and that, as Oxford scholar Lewis Gillies comes face-to-face with an ancient mystery—and a cosmic catastrophe in the making.

These revised and expanded editions of the Song of Albion Trilogy include exclusive Pronunciation Guides and Interviews with the Author.

  Albion Trilogy
Aneternaloptimist of Oregon, 5/31/2011
I have not read all three books in the Song of Albion trilogy, I read the first two and only parts of the third. The first book I enjoyed and its thrilling ending sent me on a quest to read the last two. Imagine my disappointment when after reading through most of the second, (I say most because there were a few inappropriate scenes) that the second did not hold a candle to the first. I borrowed the third and read the end to discover a world of confusion and disappointment.
I would caution for sexual content, swearing and mild violence. Unless you know a lot about British mythology, you will, like me, find yourself wholely confused by the end. *SPOILER WARNING* We go through an entire adventure only to discover it is a twisting knot that never happened, its all in a man's immagination...except that his friend really is dead in another world...yes, its confusing.
So my recommendation, don't ruin your view of Steven Lawhead by reading these books, they are well written, but his King Raven series (a series on the legend of Robin Hood) is a much more worthy of your time.
