Once upon a time there were twenty-five tin soldiers, all alike except one. This one only had one leg because the tin ran out by the time he was cast. But he stood as steadily on his one leg as all the others did on two. It is Christmas time and the tin soldier is surrounded by beautiful toys. But the only one that holds his attention is a beautiful paper dancer who balances on her one leg just as steadfastly as he. This is the tragic but touching story of the tin soldier who remains steadfast, standing straight as possible with his rifle on his shoulder, through thick and thin, through fire and through water, and of his love for the equally steadfast paper dancer.
