Oscar Wilde was an Irish poet and dramatist whose reputation rests on his comic masterpieces Lady Windermere's Fan and The Importance of Being Earnest. Among his other best-known works are his only novel The Picture of Dorian Gray and his fairy tales.
This collection includes his most famous fairy tale, The Happy Prince, and also four others: "The Nightingale and the Rose," "The Selfish Giant," "The Devoted Friend," and "The Remarkable Rocket."
