Naomi and her family live differently than other people. They think it’s wrong to drive in cars or dress in bright colors. But sometimes Naomi gets tired of being plain. Sometimes, she wants to be just plain fancy! But she doesn’t get her chance to have anything fancy till her hen lays a very strange, speckled egg. When the egg hatches, what comes out is definitely not a chicken- but it sure is fancy! But he’s too fancy for Naomi’s family. If the elders discover him, he might be shunned. But when Fancy escapes and flies right into the elders, they don’t shun him. To Naomi’s surprise, they decide that Fancy is a miracle and sometimes miracles are just plain fancy!
