Debbie Strayer earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and has many years of experience as an educator, consultant, and student evaluator. She is the former editor and co-founder of Homeschooling Today magazine, now published by her daughter Ashley Wiggers and her husband Alex. Debbie is also author of Gaining Confidence to Teach, editor of The Homeschool Answer Book by her mentor, Dr. Ruth Beechick, and co-author of the Learning Language Arts Through Literature series, published by Geography Matters. Debbie is also creator and co- author of the Trail Guide to Learning curriculum series.
Debbie Strayers passed away suddenly on June 15th, 2013, after a home school conference in Alabama. She is survived by her husband and two children.
