The original book version of Daisy-Head Mayzie was made from the cartoon special released in 1995. That special was produced from a script written before Dr. Seuss' death, but extensive changes were made to the characters and plot.
This newer edition of the book goes back to the original script and artwork Dr. Seuss created to produce a book much closer to what he wrote and drew himself. It also includes a section on the history of the story and the making of this revised edition.
