Computer Literacy

Computer literacy is the knowledge and ability required to use computers and technology efficiently. It can also refer to a person's comfort level using computer programs and other computer-associated applications.

A valuable component of computer literacy is knowing how computers work and operate. Many claim "computer literacy" who have merely memorized how to use specific applications for specific purposes; when confronted with problems they haven't encountered, or when asked to perform tasks they are unfamiliar with, such users are unable to function properly.
