Married in 1986, Mark and Christine Field shared the typical dual-career marriage. In 1991, after practicing law as an assistant state attorney for eight years, Christine left the work force to raise the couple's children, a full time job in itself. They have been blessed by God with four children thus far: three girls and one boy, three of which were adopted and one of whom is biological. They reside in Wheaton, Illinois, where Mark serves as Chief of Police, and Christine homeschools and writes. Her reflections on education have been featured in such publications as the Old Schoolhouse Magazine and Homeschool Digest.
