Choo Choo the train pulls baggage all day, from the little station in the little town to the big station in the big City and back again. Even though she has Jim the engineer, Oley the fireman, and Archibald the conductor to take care of her, Choo Choo isn’t happy with her life. She decides it would be much more fun if she could go faster and all by herself, so one day she runs away. Though at first it’s great fun speeding down the track with no baggage cars behind her, her escape doesn’t go quite as planned. It’ll take a frightening detour in some dark woods to teach Choo Choo contentment in this first book by Virginia Lee Burton.
