Three novellas depict the courageous actions of children dedicated to the cause of the Greek General Themistokles during the Persian Wars.

*****************

A sheltered Athenian girl boldly risks everything most important to her to warn a general of treason. A shepherd boy stretches his endurance and resolution to their limits to carry a crucial message that may decide the future of a city. A princess tricks her father into saving a man's life and finds herself under- taking a perilous journey to a foreign land. These three young people do not know each other, but they are linked by their courage and by their devotion to the Greek General Themistokles a man who saved his country and, in so doing, lost what he valued most.

Set during the Persian Wars, these three novellas are stirring stories of spirited high adventure in which three unlikely children change the course of history.
