Checkers is basically chess's country-hick-I-like-its-simple cousin. But don't let the simple disk design of the pieces fool you: this game can take alot of practice to master. All the pieces have the same amount of moving power at the start of the game, which you can change by strategic positioning, leap frogging over the opponents pieces, and eventually crowing the pieces that get to the back of the board. It can be a quick game or a long one, and home rules like m&ms on certain board spots can make it more entertaining for a crowd.
