Brian Godawa graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb. He later helped found the Arts & Entertainment Ministries in Louisiana, and for the Center for Cultural Leadership in California, he is the Senior Fellow of Film. Currently Godawa is a member of the Studio Task Force at Biola University. In 2006 Godawa spoke at American Vision's National Conference—Creation to Revelation, discussing how the Bible affects our lives, our culture, and the future.
With over 17 years experience in screenwriting, design and copy writing, and advertising art direction, it is not surprising that Godawa has written many award-winning screenplays. His most popular feature film To End All Wars stars Kiefer Sutherland and Robert Carlyle. This film was shown at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival Cinema for Peace. It was also awarded the Commander in Chief Medal of Service and the Pride by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
As well as writing movies, Godawa consults and lectures on screenwriting, pens magazine articles on philosophy and motion pictures that have circulated worldwide, and has had his book Hollywood Worldviews: Watching Films with Wisdom and Discernment reprinted seven times. Godawa's present work involves writing and directing a PBS documentary about the separation of church and state. He also adapted Frank Peretti's novel The Visitation into a film.
