King Henry IV faced a number of rival claimants to the throne, the most serious of which was Owen Glendower, who was aligned with the Percy family, led by the Earl of Northumberland and his son "Harry the Hotspur." This book tells the story behind the Battle of Shrewsbury, when the king's son defeated the Percys, killing young Hotspur and gaining a respite from challenges to the throne.
