BJU has an exceptional literature program. Their stories not only teach, but they also entertain. "Excursions in Literature" is the best literature program available (in my opinion) for an 8th grade student. The different chapters focus on aspects of our lives: choices, friends, viewpoints (to name a few). The questions at the end of each story or poem are great points to cause the student to think deeper.
