Things We Wished We'd Known, Waring is a former public school teacher who helped lead the homeschool community almost 20 years ago. He has spoken in 48 states, in most of Canada, and internationally on behalf of homeschooling. Married to Diana in 1979, he helped raise their three children and now spends much of his time traveling, lecturing, and assisting his wife with her history curriculum projects. Waring is also on the board of the Washington Association of Teaching Christian Homes and resides in Washington State.
