BFB Medieval History (Sr. High)

These guides will take your student from the Magna Charta in 1215 to the Elizabethan era of England in the early 1600's! Introduce your student to classic masters like Shakespeare, Chaucer, Sir Walter Scott, plus the heroic lives of Wycliffe, Tyndale, Joan of Arc, Luther, and others.

There are two guides currently in-print:

The first, for advanced intermediate students to junior high (5th-8th grade) uses some of the best literature about medieval history, covering over 1000 years from 400-1530. You'll read about the legends of King Arthur & Robin Hood, the building of castles and cathedrals, the invention of the printing press, the explosion of the reformation through men like Wycliffe and Luther, and much more.

The second, for senior high, uses a smaller list of literature—more source material, much of it combined into a Medieval Literature Anthology—and classics such as Beowulf, Canterbury Tales, and Mark Twain's Joan of Arc.
