This year-long study for 3rd-6th graders is designed to cover geography, history, science, and more using four books by Holling C. Holling:
- Paddle-to-the-Sea - covers the Great Lakes
- Tree in the Trail - covers the Santa Fe Trail
- Minn of the Mississippi - covers the Mississippi River
- Seabird - an overview of the world, from the Arctic to the Orient
The guide provides the framework for getting the most out of the Holling books, and it includes suggestions for map work. Four large, good-quality, blank maps are available to be colored and labeled by your student.
