Cooper Edens

Cooper Edens is a Seattle-based author, illustrator, and artist. He has been involved in a wide variety of projects, ranging from children's books to designing album covers for rock-and-roll bands. He has also worked on some special projects with the famous magician Doug Henning.

Along with Starsnap Studio, Mr. Edens owns one of the largest collections of vintage picture books in the world. He wrote and illustrated books for the legendary Green Tiger Press, among them If You're Afraid of the Dark, Remember the Night Rainbow, reissued by Chronicle Books. His other books include A Phenomenal Alphabet Book, Inevitable Papers, With Secret Friends, and The Starcleaner Reunion.

We know him best as the compiler of the Classic Illustrated Series, in which he marries classic texts with a pantheon of illustrations from a variety of artists, resulting in a fascinating study in comparisons and contrasts, and certainly a feast for the eyes!
