This book gets its five stars because it got the nine year old me to read poetry, something no other volume would succeed at doing until college. I am still not a big poetry person, but the cute little porcupine guy gets me every time. Beatrix Potter, as usual, manages to dispense some common snese against a backdrop of adorably cute animals. I like these small volumes because they fit into one adult sized hand while wrangling three kid sized people!
