Andrea Warren

Born in Newman Grove, Nebraska, Warren grew up in a family of five children.  Because she thoroughly enjoyed reading and writing, Warren decided to become an English teacher.  She attended the University of Nebraska to earn her master's degree in British Literature and then began teaching high school English and history.  While teaching she started writing for publication, but Warren also wanted to continue her own education.  Thus she returned to school to receive a master's degree in magazine journalism from the University of Kansas.  After working as a magazine editor and a newspaper reporter, she determined to make it on her own, becoming a freelance writer for magazines and books.  As an author, Warren has made a name for herself in the area of nonfiction.  Her work has garnered her many awards and much success.  Currently she resides in Kansas City, Kansas and is researching and penning more historical nonfiction books.  When she isn't working on her writing, Warren travels to schools, libraries, and conferences to talk about books and the writing process.
