Alan Rich

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1924, Rich later attended Harvard University before deciding to make a life in music.  He worked as the music director for a Berkeley radio station and wrote as a music critic for a variety of newspapers and magazines.  He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and is the classical music author for LA Weekly and writes about American music for Bloomberg News.
