William Gurstelle

Gurstelle earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and his M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. Gurstelle uses his knowledge of engineering to make science come alive in his books. Adventures from the Technology Underground delves into the lives of the people who invent amazing robots, catapults, and machines and how these inventions came to be. His belief is to make engineering fun for everyone who likes to tinker in his backyard or basement. Backyard Ballistics explains how to build potato cannons and more. Gurstelle also gives lectures and has written articles for a variety of newspapers and magazines.
