Like most Usborne books, these science readers are high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and enormously appealing to kids. The simple vocabulary and bright, colorful pictures are engaging, while the large type and unusually small hardcover books make these the perfect kid-sized way to learn science and practice reading. Kids can pick their favorite subject, from Cats to Race Cars, and have a book that they can read and will want to read over and over. We're impressed. Recommended for 1st-2nd grade.
