The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!
This beautiful blue leather-bound volume has gold stamping on the edges and spine, marbled endpapers and matching marbled page edges. Full page engravings illustrate the inside. It is undated, but probably turn of the century. Good condition but with wear to edges, small damaged spot on marbled endpaper, pages have some spotting and a faint musty odor. Binding is sound.
Contents has important figures and events from ancient Greek history told from a British late Victorian perspective for an upper elementary student level of understanding.
