Tom Rose

Tom Rose

Born in 1928, Thomas Gordon Rose was a U.S. navy veteran, retired professor of economics from Grove City College, Pennsylvania, cattle rancher, and author of seven books and hundreds of articles dealing with economic and political issues. His articles regularly appeared in The Christian StatesmanThe Chalcedon Report, and in many other publications. For ten years he wrote a weekly syndicated column published by newspapers such as: The Santa Ana Register (CA), The Indianapolis Morning News (IN), The Manchester Union Leader (NH), The Gazette-Telegraph (CO), The Odessa American (TX), and others.

He and his wife, Ruth, raised registered Barzona cattle on a farm near Mercer, PA, where they also write and publish economic textbooks for use by Christian colleges, high schools and home educators. Rose's last books were: Free Enterprise Economics in America and God, Gold and Civil Government.

Tom passed away on June 6th, 2014, and is survived by three daughters and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
