The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent shape, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

A Roman soldier, Marcellus, wins Christ's robe as a gambling prize. He then sets forth on a quest to find the truth about the Nazarene's robe—a quest that reaches to the very roots and heart of Christianity and is set against the vividly limned background of ancient Rome. Here is a timeless story of adventure, faith, and romance, a tale of spiritual longing and ultimate redemption.

If you enjoy books like Silver Chalice and Ben Hur, you'll probably enjoy this one. Our main frustration with it is that Douglas typically explains the miracles of Christ away. For instance, the feeding of the 5000 miracle is that the Jews (who actually brought food with them) are induced to pull it out and share with others. Other miracles are similarly dispensed with. This made the book overall less enjoyable.
