If you enjoy books like Silver Chalice and Ben Hur, you'll probably enjoy this one. Our main frustration with it is that Douglas typically explains the miracles of Christ away. For instance, the feeding of the 5000 miracle is that the Jews (who actually brought food with them) are induced to pull it out and share with others. Other miracles are similarly dispensed with. This made the book overall less enjoyable.
