Stephen Hake is a coauthor in the Saxon Math curruculum. John Saxon offered Hake the task of developing a series of middle school math books in 1983. Hake, then a middle school teacher, found that he and Saxon had a similar philosophy of teaching math, and so added his insights to the Saxon curriculum as an author for Math 54, 65 76, and 87.
