Portland House Illustrated Classics

Closely related to the Children's Classics series, these books have the same series editor and are nearly identical when the titles overlap (Call of the Wild, Hound of the Baskervilles—though Prince and the Pauper has a different illustrator). But these feel slightly more deluxe, with cloth covers and gold gilding. There are also a lot fewer of these, capping out at ten total titles, aimed at a slightly older audience.

As with many of the series books we list, these are out of print and increasingly hard to find. But the ISBNs provided on each individual title should help make at least online searching easier!
