Many of you are already pursuing a Christian education for your children, but if you have friends who are thinking about it, this would be a great opportunity for them to find resources, meet other Christian educators, and in general be inspired to keep Christ at the center of education. If you are in need of encouragement or motivation you might just want to come on over too! Admission is free, there will be door prizes and Stephen Williams doesn't fail to invigorate. Stephen Williams from Prepare the Way Ministries
Stephen is passionate about his beliefs and will bring charisma to each of the four talks he will give this weekend. He is the founder and director of Prepare the Way Ministries with a mission “to empower Christians with the knowledge and support they need to uphold a biblical worldview in an increasingly secular society.” He spent ten years teaching in the Cupertino Union School District in California but after becoming a Christian in 2001, he became increasingly aware of hostility towards Biblical values in our public schools and culture. Surprised by the lack of awareness within the body of Christ about that hostility, Stephen felt led to start Prepare the Way.
Event #2: Veritas Classical Schools Open House

Yes, another Veritas! This is not a full time, brick-and-mortar school. Rather, it offers homeschooling families a unique complement to their home study programs by providing one day per week of classroom instruction, with an emphasis on classical as well as traditional subjects taught from a distinctly Christian perspective. So far only available in the Southeastern states, Jennifer Kemp, Veritas campus director, will be providing detailed information regarding plans for the first West Coast campus in West Linn and will share more about this biblically-based homeschool program.
