MaryAnn F. Kohl

MaryAnn F. Kohl

On January 23, 1947, Kohl entered the world to an artistic and musical family. After earning her teaching degree, she ventured into elementary education, followed by time spent teaching at the college level and being an educational consultant. Kohl founded Bright Ring Publishing, Inc. and published her first book called Scribble Cookies: Independent Creative Art Experiences for Children. Her love of art encouraged her to continue teaching it to children through her various books which introduce hands-on art activities and allow children to explore art mediums such as painting, gluing, sculpting, cooking, and puppet-making.

Accomplished in her art field, Kohl works as a consultant, offers workshops, sits as a guest on television shows, and pens articles for magazines. Kohl also continues writing books such as Discovering Great Artists and Mudworks, allowing children many opportunities to be creative and learn as they go. An awarded author, Kohl stays busy writing, publishing, and enjoying the great outdoors from her home in Washington State.
