Nickel has degrees in mathematics, theology, and education. He enjoys working with numbers, having started with baseball statistics and leading to programming computers. The author of two books called Lift Up Your Eyes On High and Mathematics: Is God Silent, Nickel is busy writing a third book entitled Mathematics: Building on Foundations. A computer programmer, an author, and a dean of a proposed biblical Christian distance learning school, Nickel delights in passing along his love of mathematics and science.
