Jacqueline Rogers

Born in 1958 in Westport, Connecticut, the youngest of six children, Rogers grew up surrounded by artistic talent.  Her mom was a portrait and landscape artist while her dad was a business man who enjoyed art hobbies.  Rogers followed her mom to painting classes, followed her sisters to drawing classes, and took her own sculpting lessons.  She loved art, and one of her favorite pastimes involved drawing horses.  Rogers enrolled in Rhode Island School of Design for painting and then changed her mind to study illustration.  From magazines to store window designs, Rogers embarked on her career and eventually decided to illustrate children's books.  For over 20 years with over 90 published works illustrated, Rogers is now penning her own stories to accompany her artwork.
