Oscar Wilde was an Irish poet and dramatist whose reputation rests on his comic masterpieces Lady Windermere's Fan and The Importance of Being Earnest. Among his other best-known works are his only novel The Picture of Dorian Gray and his fairy tales.
This facsimile of the 1913 edition includes, along with The Happy Prince, "The Nightingale and the Rose," "The Selfish Giant," "The Devoted Friend," and "The Remarkable Rocket." While all of these may be found easily on the internet, this beautiful edition also boasts lovely illustrations by Charles Robinson.
